Cape Cod, a hook-shaped peninsula of the U.S. state of Massachusetts, is a popular summertime destination. From mid-June to Labor Day, the parking area at this location is closed to all but park staff and visitors who are disabled, and access is provided by shuttle bus from the Little Creek parking area (across from the Doane Area). Although the parking lot at Coast Guard Beach is open the remainder of the year, parking is limited. There are seasonal restrooms and a wheelchair-accessible ramp way to the beach.

Watched over by the Chatham Light, South Beach is extremely popular and is always bustling with activity. However, this expansive beach has plenty of room for everyone. People of all ages will enjoy the gorgeous view, soft, clean sand.

Scargo Tower began as a tourist observatory in 1874. Made of wood, it was destroyed in a gale two years later. Rebuilt again of wood, it burned in 1900. the present cobblestone tower opened in 1901. The 30 foot high tower is located atop the highest hill in the mid-Cape. Indian legends tell of the making of both Scargo Hill and Scargo Lake. Views may be seen of the entire lower cape to Provincetown, and as far west as Plymouth.

Sandy Neck Light is a lighthouse on Sandy Neck, in West Barnstable, Massachusetts, at the entrance to Barnstable Harbor. It was first established in 1826. The current tower was built in 1857 and strengthened in the 1880s. It was discontinued in 1931, replaced by a skeleton tower, which was discontinued in 1952.

Standing on a bluff, the lighthouse overlooks Falmouth, Martha's Vineyard, the Elizabeth Islands, Vineyard and Nantucket Sounds, and Woods Hole Passage. Until 2013 the light keeper's house served as the residence for the Commanding Officer of United States Coast Guard Sector Southeastern New England.
